The knife-wielding 17-year-old killer was shot to death by security guards at the Jewish settlement on the West Bank after the predator brazenly slaughtered the helpless girl, officials said.

"Only the expulsion of families of terrorists can be used as a deterrent against acts of murder, which are incited by young people educated to hate and kill Jews", said the minister, a close confidant of Netanyahu.

And on Thursday evening a Palestinian man stabbed two Israelis in the coastal town of Netanya.

Israel Defense Forces troops, who are searching the area in a massive manhunt for the shooters, discovered 19 bullet casings at the scene of the attack.

Thirteen-year-old Hallel Yaffa Ariel, a US citizen, died Thursday morning after being stabbed repeatedly by a Palestinian assailant who entered her bedroom in the West Bank settlement of Kiryat Arba.

Since Oct. 1, 2015, 31 Israelis and two American tourists have been killed in stabbing, shooting and vehicle attacks by Palestinians.

The Israeli authorities, for their part, say 39 Israelis have been killed over the same period. When police arrived to investigate, they came under fire and two officers were killed, Izrekat said. He said it was not immediately known how many gunmen carried out the attack.

Palestinian sources in Ramallah said that Tayser Mohammed Mustafa Habash, 63 years old from the village of Asira killed because of tear gas fired by the Israeli army on worshipers at Qalandiya checkpoint between Ramallah and Jerusalem.

Israeli media, which identified the girl as Hallel Yaffa Ariel, reported that she was attacked in her sleep.

The Israeli military has cordoned off Bani Naim, the village where the terrorist resided.

Trump on Friday blamed the violence on Palestinian leaders. Officials say 33 Israelis and two US citizens were killed since last September.

"To see Hallel's room, to see the blood stains next to her bed and the books and clothes of a small child, this is shocking", he said.

But he urged Israel to address the "key underlying causes of violence" including "growing Palestinian anger, the paralysis of the peace process, the almost a half-century of occupation". "Incitement and payouts to terrorists and their relatives constitute an incentive to murder", it said.

"The money goes to the families as social welfare, we can not leave any family without help", said Issa Qaraqe, the minister for prisoner affairs.

Amani Sarahneh, spokeswoman of the Palestinian prisoners' club, said the Palestinian government pays about $11 million per month to prisoners and freed prisoners.

The U.S. State Department responded to the act of terrorism by speaking against it "in the strongest possible terms".

His uncle, Rajeh Tarayreh, told The Associated Press that the family was hosting a celebration that's a tradition for every "martyr" killed by Israel - including accepting visitors offering congratulations.
