Pokemon Go clone tops app charts in China

Pokemon Go has lured thousands of Australians out into the streets, with organised events across the country called Pokemon GO Walks.

This fun game could be putting your privacy at risk.

The makers of Pokemon GO - the insanely popular smartphone game - were forced to make emergency fixes to the game because the app gave the company an unprecedented level of access into players' personal lives.

Since the game was released last Thursday, it has been downloaded on Android and Apple devices more than 5 million times.

The app gap has reached too many users lately, so the next months might be critical to Windows Phone, despite the arrival of the Windows 10 Anniversary Update on August 2.

WWE: Why Triple H Will Be New Raw GM, What About SmackDown
So it will be both exciting and wonderful to see a new feud building up and John Cena team emerging victorious at Battleground. Fandango and Tyler Breeze picked up the win on Monday, but with a name like Breezango, it's hard to take them seriously.

According to Niantic Labs, Google said that the game app has not accessed any user data beyond basic profile information and that Google is planning to reduce Pokemon Go's access to only the limited info that it needs to access.

Niantic, the game's developer, acknowledged the coding "error" on Monday.

Jason Hong, an associate professor at Carnegie Mellon University, said that it depends on how Niatic, the company that developed "Pokemon Go", uses it.

But because Niantic used a dated version, the permission-granting step was skipped, prompting the "full access" alert from Google, according to The Guardian. An up-to-date Android Nexus 6P did not get full access. This obviously didn't sit well with users, who were suddenly being faced with the stark reality that this simple app could gain full access to their entire Google accounts with the ability to modify information, send emails and other nefarious actions that wouldn't be good news if a third party were to somehow get in contact with the account.

"'Full account access' is not the best wording, and should probably be changed on Google's end", independent Slack security engineer Ari Rubenstein wrote. They can't read your email or delete your documents.
