Buffalo Bills sign David Hawthorne to add depth at linebacker

Ragland, who was the Bills' second-round pick in April's NFL Draft, sustained the injury during Friday's practice when he chased running back Reggie Bush to the sideline on a play and he pulled up limiping.

The most urgent news, regarding the status of Reggie Ragland's partial ACL tear, is still an unknown.

Spikes played with the Buffalo Bills in 2014, but sat out his entire last season. Hawthorne is a ninth-year veteran who has split him time in the National Football League with Seattle and New Orleans, and he played for Rob Ryan with the Saints from 2013 until Ryan was sacked as defensive coordinator midway through last season. He signed with the New England Patriots previous year but was released last June as police investigated his role in a hit-and-run crash in MA.

Spikes was sentenced to a year of probation in July 2015 after pleading guilty in a hit-and-run crash in which three people suffered minor injuries. He is reunited with former Saints defensive coordinator Rob Ryan, who is on twin brother Rex Ryan's staff in Buffalo.

Rupani to be sworn in as Gujarat CM tomorrow
It is for the first time in the history of the saffron party that it has appointed a deputy chief minister in Gujarat. Patel had become emotional since her resignation and also broke down during informal meetings with journalists.

The Bills also are signing veteran linebacker David Hawthorne, his agent, Jordan Woy, said. Spikes has played in 67 games and registered 340 tackles, two sacks, two interceptions, six forced fumbles, one fumble recovery and 16 passes defensed.

They are not going to just call their upcoming season a loss though.

The Bills are really hoping that the news will be good, but they have several other players ready to step up and fill the void should it be bad.

As a result of the roster additions, the team has released wide receiver Gary Chambers and cornerback Javier Arenas. Hawthorne played in eleven games last season, getting a total of 33 tackles, before being released by the team back in February.
