The cup of coffee that could cause heart palpitations

But good news for people who associate the strongest coffee with the best coffee: The most potent stuff in the whole world no longer requires a trip overseas. But that can of Coke only has about 34 mg of caffeine compared to the 702 mg of caffeine in the same fluid ounces. The strongest coffee of the world is now made available in the USA, but just one cup could spill you over the daily limit of caffeine.

In comparison, a can of Red Bull generally contains approximately 108 mg of caffeine for the equivalent 340 mL volume. Black Insomnia is now available for purchase on Amazon.

But Black Insomnia, as it is called, is not for the faint of heart.

The Black Insomnia maker addressed the safety of their own product's caffeine content. That's about four, 6-ounce cups of the average brewed coffee. This is not to say that coffee, either chemically enhanced or natural, couldn't be stronger but rather that it shouldn't. Which, to be blunt, tells you why you should probably not drink OUR Cold Brew if you do not have a high tolerance for caffeine.

"Don't come crying to us if you can't handle the kick", the company's website reads, next to the promotional hashtag #sleepingischeating. Beyond that amount and you might experience irritability, headaches, upset stomach, muscles tremors, fast heartbeat and, well, insomnia (We see you name guru, we see you). But what if some days, you want more?

"Caffeine overdose is risky and can kill you". Launched past year, the South Africa-based coffee has 702 milligrams of caffeine per 12-ounce cup, surpassing the previous caffeine record of Death Wish's 660 milligram brew. According to a press release, that makes the coffee 33 percent stronger than competitor - with a similarly ominous name - Deathwish Coffee.

Yeah, that's a latte caffeine packed into those tiny beans.

Although Black Insomnia holds the title for now, the company says that nine different brands on Amazon have the same claim, Grub Street reported. The same size for Death Wish Coffee contains 330 mg.
