Wenger tells Arsenal players air of uncertainty is no excuse for slump

City have won their last three away but each of these victories have come over sides now in the bottom half and after their victory at Old Trafford early on in the season they've since lost and failed to score in all three of their trips to top-seven sides.

Arsenal are now shrouded in uncertainty with the future of their manager Arsene Wenger and two superstars, Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil up in the air.

And Groves reckons Wenger - who dodged questions over his future TEN times yesterday - will prove divisive for fans if he signs on. "I don't think it's the way you play it's how well you play the way you play".

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is more concerned with arresting the worst slump of his long career in the Premier League than making his career plans public.

"Arsene and the Arsenal players are so professional".

Asked how he interpreted what Sanchez had said, he said: "In a very positive way". We have not extended his contract, I hope he will stay at the club.

"You have to be very cautious when people give interviews in their home country. I'm really sad to see this sort of decline".

Russia Reaches 2/3 Of Oil Output Cut Target
ET release, USA benchmark West Texas Intermediate oil contracts for May delivery were trading up 1.4% to above $49 a barrel. Or that overall US crude inventories have soared to record levels.

"No, I believe the priority in life is always to focus on what is important and not to look for excuses", he said.

Both he and team-mate Mesut Ozil are reportedly holding out for parity with the Premier League's top earners.

"It is true that it happened before when we were in a position financially where we had to sell our best players, but that is not the case anymore".

Wenger accepts that the season has been a disappointment to date but insists that his decision to stay or go should not be considered a mitigating factor behind their slip in standards. "I personally believe that both of them want to stay and hope the club finds an agreement with them", he said.

Arsenal forward, Alex Iwobi, has urged Arsene Wenger to stay on as manager beyond the end of his current contract.

The answer did not come during his pre-match press conference on Thursday morning and he told Sky Sports News on Friday that blaming Arsenal's recent slump on the uncertainty over his future was an "easy excuse".

AST has not carried out any formal protests of their own but the fact 84 per cent backed Wenger when a similar poll was conducted 18 months ago shows how a large swathe of members have changed their opinion of the 67-year-old. Their job is to perform and for me [it is] to help them to perform and to develop as players. You know my attachment to this club and at the moment it is as it is and I do not see any escape route to have less responsibility because of that.
