Squirrel served daily ice cream mini-cones at North Carolina shop

Fantasy Isle Ice Cream & Mini Golf in Harbor in Holden Beach, North Carolina has attracted a loyal squirrel, that they named Putter, who seems to have a taste for ice cream.

Putter, who also goes by the nickname "Putt-Putt", has recently had to make the switch to sugar-free ice cream as the Martin's feared she would become diabetic.

Ever since, she has made herself at home inside one of the trees above and comes down almost every day for a scoop.

"She came down and just got friendly with customers and ultimately took someone's ice cream cone back up the tree", Scott said.

American soldier killed fighting ISIS in Afghanistan
US officials have said the movement has about 700 fighters but Afghan officials have put that number at about 1,500. The soldier's name and unit were not released, pending notification of next-of-kin.

Customers have started coming to the ice cream shop just to see Putter. "We give her a little treat twice a day - that's probably enough", owner Scott Martin told Inside Edition.

"One of the first things people ask for 'Is Putter here?" They say Putter is quite the little character.

A squirrel in North Carolina has been living the dream since she starting visiting a mini-golf course last summer. "So they come. They know she's here and they want to see her". While seeing a little squirrel munch a tiny ice cream cone may be cute, it could lead to problems with people or malnutrition, wildlife officials warn. "We are trying to control it, instead of her getting way too much food".
