Sheriff: 'Bachelor' star refused to answer door after crash

In the call, the former reality star sounds frantic and eager to get the victim of the crash help.

Assistant Buchanan County Attorney Jenalee Zaputil had made no mention of Soules' 911 call during his initial arraignment hearing on Tuesday and stated Soules - who was arrested at his house later that night after he refused to come outside and police were forced to obtain a search warrant - had not contacted authorities about the incident. Chris ended up fleeing the scene of the accident and was arrested soon after, but is already out on a $10,000 bond. Soules' vehicle needed $1,500 in repairs and the victim's auto suffered $2,500 worth of damages. As we previously reported, Chris called 911 and admitted to crashing his truck into the back of a tractor, sending both vehicles and the other victim into a ditch.

Soules, who appeared on the hit ABC reality show two years ago, said the man had been thrown into a ditch, wasn't conscious, and didn't appear to be breathing.

Soules identified himself on the call, which lasted almost six minutes, and sounded frantic. Soules told the 911 operator he did not know how to perform CPR and could be heard asking unidentified people at the scene if they could perform the lifesaving measure. Soules did the same thing back in 2002, only he didn't kill anyone in the process.

Of course, there were also plenty of rumors - some even substantiated by legitimate claims - that Whitney Bischoff and Chris Soules were just faking their relationship for publicity's sake, especially through Chris" stint on "Dancing with the Stars'.

National Hockey League playoffs: Sharks' Joe Thornton played with torn ACL, MCL
The Oilers were wary about getting off to a poor start on Saturday after losing to the Sharks 7-0 on Wednesday on their home ice. With McDavid mostly held in check in the series, the outcome was mostly left up to Edmonton's supporting cast.

While he did not speak publicly, reports say Soules spoke so softly that the judge had to request him to speak up. Mosher and his family live on a farm near the scene of the crash and have lived in the town for the majority of their lives. Soules could face up to five years in prison if convicted of the felony charge. Mosher later was declared dead at a local hospital.

"I can feel a pulse". We have law enforcement, medical en route to you. "Chris has a location-monitoring device on his leg and had to surrender his passport", a source exclusively told Us Weekly, adding that it was because he previously "had plans to leave the country" before the incident.

Soules has not said anything about the accident but did release a statement through his attorneys, Sean and Molly Spellman: "Chris Soules was involved in an accident Monday evening (April 24) in a rural part of Iowa near his home".

Soules is known for being a amiable guy but latest reports proved him to be under the influence of alcoholic beverages since some of its containers were found at the scene. He was devastated to learn that Kenneth Mosher, the other person in the accident, passed away.

"His thoughts and prayers are with Mr. Mosher's family", said Rosenfield, who declined to comment further.
