Anchor Kelly Wright opens up about Fox News lawsuit

The report follows an article by NY magazine's Gabriel Sherman, who indicated Fox's management is looking to "shake up" the leadership in the wake of former host Bill O'Reilly's ouster earlier this month after a series of sexual harassment allegations.

And a Friday report from The Hollywood Reporter alleging that the Murdochs are seeking a woman to head Fox News as Shine's replacement is adding more fuel to the whopping fire.

According to reports from Mediaite, a source has confirmed to them that serious discussions are now underway to create an alternative conservative cable network given that many believe Fox News has moved too far to the left with its coverage.

O'Reilly, a racist sexual predator released from Fox News after advertisers boycotted his show, used a listener's question about his book, "Killing the Rising Sun", as an opportunity to wax philosophic about the dangers of war, not that he'd know anything about that. Shine spearheads the network's programming sector, while Abernethy is in charge of the business side of the company.

Julie Roginsky, an on-air contributor, alleged in a lawsuit filed earlier this month that Shine retaliated against her for not supporting Ailes in his battle against Gretchen Carlson.

The 20-year veteran of Fox News is named as a defendant in a sexual harassment lawsuit filed by former Fox News host Andrea Tantaros, and considered a hold-over from an Ailes era tarred by scandal.

His name also has come up in the current racial discrimination class action suit led by anchor Kelly Wright. For a time, Luhn said, Shine was even tasked with monitoring her outgoing emails.

Rupert Murdoch and his sons James and Lachlan, CEO and co-chairman of 21st Century Fox, are feeling mounting pressure to make good on their vows to foster "a workplace based on the values of respect and trust".

21st Century Fox and Fox News Executive Chairman Rupert Murdoch took Shine and Abernethy to lunch last week at a popular restaurant in Central Park in what was seen as a public show of support.

But ultimately, Wright said Fox News has not "effectively pursued... diversity and inclusion of all people".

In fact, if Shine is dismissed, Hannity tweeted on Thursday that it would mean the "total end" of Fox.

Fox News and its general counsel said they vehemently deny the claims, and O'Reilly has called claims against him "unfounded".

"Somebody HIGH UP AND INSIDE FNC is trying to get an innocent person fired", he posted.
