Led Zeppelin reunion rumours sparked by message on Robert Plant's website

A cryptic message on Robert Plant's website has sparked online rumours that Led Zeppelin could reunite.

The band lineup featured original members Plant, guitarist Jimmy Page and bassist John Paul Jones along with their newest recruit, Jason Bonham, on drums. Rumor has it they turned down a reported $14 million dollar pay day to play at last years festival and that this year there are "millions & millions" of more reasons why they should do it.

Frontman Robert Plant has sent fans into a frenzy by posting three little words on his site: 'Any time now'. At the moment, Robert Plant is now recording his new album alongside the Sensational Space Shifters, so Zeppelin fans could be barking up the wrong tree, as this could just be a reference to his own album.

There's a rumor going around-and that's all it is at this point, folks (a rumor)-that Led Zeppelin will reunite for this year's Desert Trip Festival in Southern California.

Second, the inaugural Desert Trip, which took place in October 2016, was initially officially announced on May 3, 2016 - nearly exactly one year ago today, implying that details for this year's version of the mega-fest could be forthcoming.

The last time Led Zeppelin got together was the Ahmet Ertegun Tribute Concert at London's O2 Arena in 2007.

It's been ten years since Led Zeppelin performed together, and their 50th anniversary is just around the corner in 2018.
