Group linked to NSA spy leaks threatens sale of new tech secrets

In this message, an individual claims to be a member of the said hacker group and has taken credit for the havoc reeked by the WannaCry (pt) ransomware attack that was part of the previous data dump leaked by them. "Heck, at this point, Shadow Brokers doesn't even need to have this exploit (though I'm guessing the NSA and Microsoft both may be erring on the side of caution at this point)", she wrote on her site.

In the post, which will worry security agencies and companies around the world, the Shadow Brokers said: "In June, TheShadowBrokers is announcing "TheShadowBrokers Data Dump of the Month" service".

It alleges the data could include "compromised network data from Russian, Chinese, Iranian, or North Korean nukes and missile programs", as well as exploits for Windows 10, handset exploits, and stolen data from central banks. Now, it's considering a new subscription model in which it releases new hacking tools to subscribers every month. Dillon was among the first researchers to reverse engineer the DoublePulsar payload that helped weaponize the WannaCrypt malware over the weekend. "Is being like wine of month club", its post states; Blue Apron for malware.

Shadow Brokers were the first to reveal the vulnerabilities that led to the release of the WannaCry virus and it looks like they are back with a bang.

The group goes on to claim that it has spies inside Microsoft among other USA technology companies and says it plans to sell off new exploits every month from June onwards. The gang says that potential buyers would have to pay the subscription fee the data is locked behind but, other than that, practically everyone could buy it and used it for whatever purposes, terrorist organizations included. This data dump is also said to carrying information on banks using the SWIFT global money transfer network.

North Korea Tests Missile That Comes Dangerously Close to Russian Federation
Outsiders express more skepticism about North Korea's nuclear warhead claims. "There are no excuses that justify N. China is under pressure to take stronger measures to persuade its communist ally to abandon its nuclear ambitions.

The announcement comes on the heels of a very virulent ransomware outbreak that has used one of the exploits previously leaked by the group. It also alleges that Microsoft Corp.is colluding with The Equation Group - "the Microsoft is being BFF with the equation group" - the NSA's hacking group, and that the NSA has spies inside of Microsoft and other top USA technology companies.

Hacking tools believed to belong to the NSA that were leaked online last month were built into WannaCry ransomware - also known as WannaCrypt - that swept the globe on Friday.

Microsoft did provide a patch for the vulnerability but a lot of machines were still exposed as they had not installed the updates.

A spokeswoman for Microsoft said it was preparing a response.

The move highlights the growing commercial sophistication of groups such as Shadow Brokers, which has already demonstrated a fearsome technical ability to compromise the world's top intelligence agencies.
