The Hidden Bombshell In The Comey-Trump Story

by Marta Holmes May 20, 2017, 0:53

Philippe Reines, a longtime operative for Hillary Clinton, seems to have seen the news about how the former Federal Bureau of Investigation director felt put-off during his meetings with the president before he was sacked.

Comey, who Wittes said "stood in the back, right in front of the drapes, hoping Trump wouldn't notice him camouflaged against the wall", went to shake Trump's hand. But he wanted to approximate his physicality so that Clinton would grow accustomed to Trump's looming presence when she saw Reines in her peripheral vision.

Reines tweeted a video of himself on Friday, where he jokingly played the part of Trump by trying to bring Clinton in for an embrace. By any measure, Clinton's loss to Donald Trump ranks as one of the most significant and unexpected events in American political history, and on so many levels, it still feels like it couldn't have happened.

Reines insists it is Clinton in the somewhat blurry video.

Jason McCourty likes what's "brewing" in Cleveland
Gonzalez played in 51 games at Arizona State and won the Lou Groza Award past year as the nation's top kicker. I want to be a part of something where I felt like I am wanted and where I feel like I'm part of a family.

New details emerged this week about President Trump using a hug as a power move meant to make the recipient of the squeeze appear more friendly with him than they actually are.

"Not easy to avoid the unwanted Trump hug, sometimes it even takes practice", Reines tweeted alongside the footage. And Comey has long arms so Comey said he pre-emptively reached out for a handshake and grabbed the president's hand.

So if Trump really feels as though Clinton and Obama were breaking the law, why hasn't he asked Jeff Sessions to appoint a special prosecutor to investigate those matters? It was bad enough there was going to be a handshake. His goal was not a "Saturday Night Live"-style caricature of Trump, so he didn't try to replicate Trump's famous mane".
