The First Flexible Display By Samsung Has Taken Over The Electronic Industry

According to a Samsung Display representative, while current flexible OLED can be transformed in only one side, the stretchable OLED can be transformed, whether curved, bent or rolled both above and below, www.phonearena.com reported.

The company announced on Monday that it will show off the new technology at the Society for Information Display 2017 event.

Samsung's screen division is one of the most outstanding, as this year the company will introduce the first "elastic" OLED display at this conference.

Stretchable display is the most advanced flexible display - among bendable, foldable and rollable - which can be stretched to be used for various high technologies, including wearable display, Internet of Things, artificial intelligence and automobile display. Apparently upon pressing, the display will stretch as much as 1.2cm.

Turkish President Refuses To Lift State Of Emergency
Calling the purge necessary for the country's survival, Erdogan said, "Nothing in Turkey will be like what it was before July 15". He again rejected calls for the removal of the state of emergency , known as Ohal in Turkish, which allows him to rule by decree.

Apple, not looking to be left behind, has already filed multiple patents for companies that have been working on their own flexible/stretchable displays. With this smaller 3D display users will see any displayed image differently based upon their viewing position. Indeed, LG launched one at ISE 2017, but Samsung has taken the technology one step further with the world's first "stretchable" panel. The Korean Herald suggest that Samsung will show its 9.1-inch variants of stretchable displays during this week. This is why we think that we won't get to see devices sporting a Samsung stretchable display any time soon. According to the firm, this new invention just signals the continuous evolution of the flexible display market, such that the sales of flexible displays globally are expected to rise to $15.7 billion in 2020.

"Flexible OLED production yield has improved dramatically over the last few years, which could prompt panel manufacturers to ramp up flexible OLED production lines".

The stretchable 3D OLED panel having 5.09-inch screen can be used for enhanced multimedia experience and VR which will be used to portray real objects. Fetching $3.7 billion previous year, the global flexible display market is predicted to rise to $15.5 billion by 2022.
