Top Democrat says Flynn subpoena coming

The leaders of the Senate Russia investigation said Tuesday they will continue to pursue critical documents from former national security adviser Michael Flynn, issuing two additional subpoenas to a pair of businesses Flynn ran.

Committee Chairman Sen. Richard Burr, R-N.C., and Vice Chairman Sen.

During a breakfast Wednesday, Rep. Adam Schiff of California, the House intelligence committee's top Democrat, told reporters that Flynn declined to turn over records to the committee, and he said it will be "following up with subpoenas".

In his remarks, Burr said that the committee would still like to hear from Flynn and to review his business documents related to the Russian Federation investigation.

Warner said the subpoenas to Flynn Intel LLC and Flynn Intel Inc. were being issued on the premise that companies can not similarly invoke the 5th Amendment right not to testify, as the former NSA chief did.

"Everything is on the table", Burr said.

Burr said the committee also sent a letter to Flynn lawyer Robert Kelner, challenging them on the claim that Flynn could assert Fifth Amendment rights in lieu of handing over documents. Burr left open the possibility that they could hold Flynn in contempt if he would not comply with their demands. "There are court decisions that provide there may be a limited Fifth Amendment right in terms of document production, but it is only limited".

Nokia leak shows three 'Unknown Heart' smartphones
Further, about the pricing details, if the rumours are to be believed, Nokia 9 is expected to come with a price tag of Rs 44,990. Nokia 9 is reported to be powered by a Snapdragon 835 chipset clocked at 2.46GHz with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage.

But reports surfaced that Trump during a meeting in February had told Comey, "I hope you can let this go", referring to the Russian Federation probe.

"We'd like to hear from Gen. Flynn", he said. Since December, U.S. Intelligence officials said Moscow was behind hacking efforts to help Donald Trump win the presidential election.

He was sacked from his position at the White House in February, after less than a month on the job, for failing to disclose the content of talks with Sergei Kislyak, Russia's ambassador to the United States, and misleading Vice President Mike Pence about the conversations.

Flynn is also being investigated over whether he was fully forthcoming about his foreign contacts and earnings from organizations linked to the governments of Russian Federation and Turkey.

"It was our preference initially to get these documents and testimony voluntarily", Schiff said.

"We're not the appropriate avenue to offer immunity in a potential criminal investigation", he said.

The top Democrat on the House intelligence committee says if it's true that the president asked top intelligence officials to publicly deny that there had been any "collusion" between the Russians and the Trump campaign, it would suggest obstruction or politicization of the intelligence community.
