The Scotland worldwide was between the sticks for Hearts in the 2006 final at Hampden Park when the Jambos beat Gretna in a penalty shoot-out to take the trophy back to Gorgie.

"I probably took it for granted a little bit the first time around, but for everybody, the closer you get to the end of your career the more important these become". We started to create chances and our quality came through.

"To have achieved that in the first season alongside everything else that we've done is very humbling".

"The Hearts fans filled three-quarters of the stadium that day, so I could really have run anywhere and been celebrating in front of them".

Gordon is also excited about the possibility of joining Celtic's treble-winning club, which now includes the teams from of 1967, 1969 and 2001.

"It's impossible to put it into words, but it's probably the best feeling you can have on the football pitch to score the victor in the last minute". Everyone is looking forward to it.

Rooney doesn't believe nerves are going to hit now and so his firm belief is that Aberdeen need to forget about Celtic and concentrate on what they are good at.

"It think in the first half we weren't playing too well and Kieran has been a massive part of what we've done this season so it was unfortunate to see him go off".

He said: "That's football".

"No matter what the result is, it has been a brilliant season for us, our first season together knowing that next season we can only improve". "For this season to go all the way through the league without losing and win the Treble". Player of the year Sinclair then fluffed a chance to win as he completely miss-hit his volley from a Griffiths pass allowing Lewis to make the save.

Both sides were wracked with nerves in the second half as Aberdeen sat deeper and deeper but Celtic couldn't find a way through until Rodgers" "Magic Man' Rogic weaved his way into the box and slotted home the priceless victor.

"I know I can rely on them all and whoever we put into the team I'm sure will do a fantastic job".
