Cops: Racial slur sprayed on LeBron James' Los Angeles home

LeBron James offered his first public comments at a press conference on Wednesday after his Los Angeles-area home was vandalized by a racial slur.

According to ABC 7, "the vandalism was reported at around 6:45 a.m. Los Angeles Police Department officials said the Cleveland Cavaliers star was not at the residence at the time of the incident". Jefferson, the LAPD officer, told CNN that they can not now say if the home was burgled.

He added that, by the time officers had arrived at the scene, the offending word had been painted over by management staff.

In 2015, James and his production company signed a developmental deal with Warner Bros. worth $15 million, an agreement that has him spending more time in Southern California. James was in Los Angeles most of last summer working with his production company.

No surprise: It's Cavs-Warriors in the NBA Finals yet again
So, they got a lot of tough guys that are going to compete so they're making us compete, which is good for us". "I have no idea". The Cleveland Cavaliers were supposed to get there, and they did. "[The Cavaliers have] been here before", Marcus Smart said.

The house isn't James' main residence, and he might have been forgiven for refusing to let vandalism distract him from competing for an National Basketball Association title. He lives in Bath, Ohio. He is now in the Bay Area, getting ready for Game One of the NBA Finals against the Golden State Warriors.

After noting that the vandalism had intruded on "one of the greatest sporting events that we have", James said that if the incident keeps the conversation about racism alive, James said, "then I'm OK with it". "My family is safe, they're safe and that's the most important".

"Just shows that racism will always be a part of the world, part of America". Hate in America, especially for African-Americans, is living every day.

"I can't be home to see my boys right now", James said. James was not present when the vandalism took place, Eisenman said. "Basketball comes second to my family".
