Ravens sign CB Brandon Boykin and cut Kyle Arrington

The Baltimore Ravens signed CB Brandon Boykin and CB Al-Hajj Shabazz and terminated the contract of vested veteran CB Kyle Arrington (failed physical), general manager/executive vice president Ozzie Newsome announced Monday.

When healthy, the 26-year-old cornerback was a consistent contributor for the Philadelphia Eagles and Pittsburgh Steelers.

While Brandon Boykin hasn't played in an National Football League game since the 2015 season, the former Georgia cornerback and return specialist has earned another shot at making a team's roster for the upcoming season. He signed with the Carolina Panthers in March 2016, but was cut two months later. He ended the 2015 season with 25 total tackles, one interception, and one forced fumble. His best season came in 2013 when he tallied six interceptions for the Eagles.

Arrington, 30, suffered a concussion last August and spent the season on injured reserve.

Microsoft also has announced its own speaker with Samsung's Harman business; it will use Microsoft's Cortana digital assistant. According to Apple , the smart speaker will only start collecting information after the "Hey Siri" voice command is activated.

Shabazz, 24, appeared in seven games with the Steelers and one with the Houston Texans in 2016.

When the New England Patriots released Arrington in 2015, Baltimore signed him to a three-year, $7 million deal. Releasing Arrington will reportedly free up $2.1 million in cap room, according to Spotrac.

They added cornerback Brandon Carr and safety Tony Jefferson in free agency, while selecting Alabama cornerback Marlon Humphrey in the first round of this year's draft.
