On Wednesday, police searching for French national Xavier Thomas, 45, said they had recovered a body from the Thames, bringing the death toll to eight.

The Metropolitan Police says the body was found on Tuesday downstream near Limehouse from the bridge.

Thomas and his girlfriend were visiting London at the time of the attack.

Bin Salem said there were no apparent links between Abedi and the London Bridge attackers.

Among those radicalised by Muhajiroun were the suicide bombers who killed 52 people on London's public transport system in July 2005, and the men who murdered soldier Lee Rigby in the capital in 2013.

A van first hit a number of pedestrians on London Bridge, before attackers stabbed a number of people in the nearby Borough Market area of the city.

Pressure has been building on police to explain why one of the three attackers had managed to slip under the radar despite having known links to extremists.

An Italian website has claimed Moroccan and "British authorities" were tipped off about Zaghba's movements after he was charged and later cleared on worldwide terrorism charges and placed on a "persons at risk" list.

It is believed Zaghba worked in a restaurant in London after being stopped at Bologna Airport in March previous year when he tried to travel to Syria via Turkey, Corriere claims.

Still, analysts were disappointed the group did not seek steeper cuts and a longer extension. This has slowed the market's rebalancing with global crude stocks still near record highs.

Pakistani-born British citizen Butt and Redouane, who claimed to be Moroccan-Libyan, were two of the three men who carried out the deadly assault in which seven people died and dozens more were injured on Saturday night.

Italian prosecutor Giuseppe Amato said there was not enough evidence to arrest or charge the 22-year-old when he was caught at Bologna airport last year.

Two men are now in custody on suspicion of violating the Terrorism Act. Some 48 rounds were fired to stop the attack within eight minutes.

Six men were arrested - three in connection to London Bridge attack.

The authorities have said Butt was known to police and the domestic security service MI5 but there was no intelligence that an attack was being planned.

In a separate investigation not linked to the London Bridge attacks, officers backed up by armed police arrested three men in east London on Thursday on suspicion of preparing for acts of terrorism.

Last night 15 people remained in a critical condition and Australian nurse Kirsty Boden was named as the third fatality.

Police and the security agencies are facing questions about whether they missed chances to thwart the attack.

But he appeared in a Channel 4 documentary entitled "The Jihadis Next Door" about British extremists that was broadcast a year ago, according to local media.
