An intense three-day manhunt that began Tuesday morning in Putnam County, Ga., ended Thursday in rural Christiana, Tenn., which is about 50 miles southeast of Nashville.

Rowe shuffles into court, donning an orange jumpsuit, his hands cuffed together.

Authorities warned that the men, who had escaped with the guards' 9 mm pistols, were considered very risky.

Georgia Department of Corrections Commissioner Greg Dozier said in a statement that Rowe and Dubose "will be brought to justice swiftly for their heinous crime against our Officers". Both are being sought by law enforcement.

After their escape, they spent two days on the run until they were spotted by Tennessee state troopers.

Rowe and Dubose shared a cell in prison, but authorities had said they couldn't be certain if that is where they hatched their escape plan.

The two carjacked a passerby and disappeared in his Honda Civic. Sills said it was stolen late Tuesday night, roughly 12 hours after they ransacked a house 9 miles (14 kilometres) away to gather food and change from their prison uniforms. "They provided the most vital information at the most crucial time".

Jasper County Sheriff Chris Malphus later said that these reports were unfounded and his deputies were allowed to stand down.

Around 2:30 p.m. Dubose and Rowe broke into a home in Shelbyville and tied up a man and woman.

The escapees tied up the couple with belt, ate some beef stew, grabbed some clothes, boots and jewelry.

Arrest warrants out for Turkish agents, others in DC melee
Seven Turkish agents would be charged with felonies and five agents would face misdemeanor charges, according to the AP. The police statement did not say if the men were supporters of Erdogan, part of his security detail or protesters.

"They have known each other for quite a while", Myrick said. The billboards will feature the inmates' photos and advertise specifics about the reward and a nationwide tip line: 877-926-8332. He said one of the men had tattoos on his face. Vehicles were hit, but no people were injured. The inmates got into a wreck, left the vehicle and then led police on a foot chase before both men were taken into custody in the community of Christiana, she said.

After their escape on Tuesday, in Putnam County, Georgia, Sheriff Howard Sills said that #The Public was in grave danger and the whereabouts of the inmates were unknown.

'They just murdered two corrections officers in a brutal fashion, ' Sills said. It showed the two men tattooed and exhausted.

The convicts said they would be dead within 24 hours, the hostages later told police.

"They actually wanted the couple to make up a scenario like it was someone else, and threatened that they would be back if they didn't", said Bedford County Tennessee Sheriff Austin Swing.

Within 15 minutes, the couple was able to break free and call police.

"They wrestled with the man and took control of him", Swing told WSMV. "We are looking for them anywhere they might be on the planet Earth".

The prisoners allegedly breached a protective gate on the bus to reach the officers at the front of the bus, before disarming and killing them both, the sheriff's office said.

'How they got through the locks and things up to that area I do not know'.

Sills said there's no visible evidence - an apparent reference to video from a security camera on the bus - showing that other inmates participated.
