Sunday with double dose as Pakistan faces India in Cricket and Hockey

Just when the world, and even its bitterest foe India, were willing to concede that Pakistan had played brilliant cricket to set up a dream final, comes the news that doubts are being raised on their progress in the tournament.

Although India skipper Manpreet Singh tried to downplay the hype surrounding the Pakistan encounter, he said the team will be going out all guns blazing to garner full points.

"We've got nothing to lose - the pressure is more on them", Azhar told reporters at the Oval on Friday. The idea will be to stick to the plans the coach draws up before the match against both Canada and Pakistan.

"You [Sarfaraz] have done nothing special, this match was won for you, we all know how things work", Sohail said.

"Green shirts must bat first and put up a good total on board and then tackle India with their strong bowling because it has emerged as our strength in this tournament", said Khan.

Garry Monk: "All the boxes were ticked at Middlesbrough"
Monk insists that the prospect of leading Boro back up to the Premier League at the first attempt is the right challenge for him. Do you believe Monk? "It is about looking who is here, assessing them and maybe trying to add to the squad".

"No one gave us a hope when we got here". So, getting a win, and an impressive one at that, will be vital. "He asked us to bring more energy and aggression into our game", Manpreet said.

Meanwhile, Scotland have received two off-field boosts.

Title-holders India will be firm favourites against a Pakistan side who were the lowest ranked of all the teams taking part in a tournament featuring the world's top-eight one-day global sides. "I have never tried my hand in it but they are pretty good, so they will be fine", Kohli said. Does he mean fixing has taken place or does he mean people involved with running the game have created conditions for them to progress to the final?

Scotland's head coach Derek Forsyth must lift his players ahead of today's (18.00) World League semi-final clash with high-flying Holland.

"This is the game they want, but it is up to us how we handle the pressure on the day".
