Qatar responds Negatively to Saudi led coalitions demands

The foreign ministers of Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates, after their meeting, refrained from announcing further sanctions on Qatar and said the boycott would continue.

"No, they can not take such a decision because it should be by consensus", he said during a meeting at the Chatham House think tank. Iran also called the Saudi-led economic blockade of Qatar unacceptable and called for diplomatic steps to defuse the crisis, while promising to provide air, sea and land support to its "brother" country.

Late last month, Saudi Arabia and its allies gave Qatar a 13-point ultimatum in order to lift the sanctions.

"Regarding the... possibility of embargo countries asking some of the worldwide companies or contractors not to work with us, we absolutely do not have any issue with that". Qatar will never do.

He said this was "despite the separation of 12,000 families, despite the siege that is a clear aggression and an insult to all worldwide treaties, bodies and jurisdictions".

UAE's Foreign Minister Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan used a harsher tone in his criticism of Qatar, saying it is only interested in "destruction, incitement, extremism and terrorism".

In a joint statement issued following a meeting held on Wednesday in Cairo, the four foreign ministers said the response received by Qatar was "negative" and shows negligence, lack of seriousness in dealing with the roots of the problem and a "lack of understanding" of the gravity of the situation. "Qatar will never do", he said. Qatar rejects those accusations.

Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump spoke to Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, asking him to urge all parties "to negotiate constructively", reported AFP.
