Skype Adds PayPal Integration for Peer-to-Peer Payments

To use the feature, you'll need to be on the latest version of the Skype mobile app.

"Questions like "Can I reimburse you for those movie tickets?" or "What do I owe you for Mom's gift?" no longer require switching from Skype to your browser or banking app to start a payment process".

Also, a side note: Since this feature is called Send Money and not "Pay with PayPal" or whatever, I assume Microsoft is at least open to adding other money transfer services in the future. Sending and money over skype will be directly from and to the linked PayPal account, and the only difference is you are not on the PayPal app/website. You'll both have to have PayPal accounts and live in one of the 22 countries where Send Money is now supported. "Starting today, we're rolling out the ability to send money with PayPal on Skype".

PayPal and Skype have teamed up to allow users to send money to other Skype users with PayPal via their mobile app (Android and iOS).
