CW Announces Fall Dates For DC Superhero Crossovers

The Arrowverse shows have crossed over more and more - last season featured a musical crossover with Supergirl and The Flash in addition to the big annual event - which offers fans of the shared universe more chances to see the heroes team up. With the arrival of new seasons and series comes the return of superhero TV, most notably The CW's slate of DC-inspired heroes, Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, and Legends of Tomorrow.

The crossover will then continue on Tuesday, November 28 with The Flash at 8:00 p.m. and conclude with Legends of Tomorrow at 9:00 p.m. - their regular timeslots. This is contrary to last year's Invasion crossover, which aired over four nights. It would be better and tighter in terms of storytelling to make it like a two-night, two-hour miniseries. "We thought this was the best way to go".

Rather than spread across the four nights of the week like in 2016, the crossover will be presented as a two-night mini-series event.

"It's a full, four-episode crossover", he added.

When asked for a tease of what this crossover will entail, all Pedowitz would say is, "Romance is in the air". "I'm really happy with where they're heading, and they've got a great showrunning staff".

NTSB to investigate deadly blast at private Minneapolis high school
Day said the Minnehaha Academy community is very tight knit - and obviously concerned about who may still be inside. According to officials, the explosion was caused by a gas leak while contractors were working in the area.

During a presentation at the Television Critics Association's summer press tour, The CW's President Mark Pedowitz revealed that this year's "Arrowverse" crossover will begin Monday, November 27th at 8 PM. However, it's unlikely that Black Lightning would join in on the crossover fun as the network is keeping the projects separate - for now. Will we get to see the Arrowverse together once again on Barry and Iris' big day?

Having recently learned that Kara Zor-El is primed to play a more significant role in this year's crossover, it's good to hear that she'll be kicking things off this time around.

One notable detail about the 2017 crossover is that it will likely be the first true four-way crossover event.

Last year, The CW presented a SUPERGIRL/FLASH two-night episode featuring Darren Criss as well as original music from LA LA LAND composers Benj Pasek and Justin Paul. On Thursday, October 12 at 9 pm Arrow will premiere to round out the DC roster.
