RSS cadres attacking, killing our men in Kerala, says CPI-M

Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley attended tribute meeting of slain RSS worker Rajesh Edavakode at Kalabash auditorium on Sunday. "I am here to express my solidarity on behalf of our party", he added. The CPM members also claimed that Jaitley's visit was an attempt by the BJP to distract attention from allegations of corruption against its leaders in the state. He evaded a question on the RSS' call for President's Rule in Kerala.

He even requested the Chief Minister to curb the political violence in the state and said, "I expect that the political violence in Kerala is curbed and that the perpetrators are brought to justice expeditiously".

The CPI-M on Friday accused the BJP-RSS cadres for attacking and killing the Left party's workers and supporters in Kerala and accused the BJP of "doublespeak". The BJP has alleged that CPM activists were behind the gruesome murder, a charge denied by the ruling party.

Chennai: Arun Jaitley's Kerala visit on Sunday comes while the Left Democratic Front (LDF) government's initiatives to restore peace are in progress. This led to several bandhs across Kerala and a long phase of political violence.

Liverpool '100 per cent' won't sign Naby Keita this summer - RB Leipzig
RB Leipzig coach Ralph Hassenhuttl has stated Liverpool transfer target Naby Keita will not be sold this summer to the Reds.

"We will not forget this heinous act. It will only increase their determination to work harder against those who are perpetuating this operation", Jaitley said. A reconciliation meeting held in Kannur on Saturday saw the CPI (M) and BJP-RSS leaders resolving to advise the cadres to renounce violence.

Rajesh pointed out that Jaitley should find time to visit the bereaved families of the soldiers who killed in wars. RSS state secretary and Prantha Karyavahak P. Gopalankutty Master told DC that the central RSS leadership had even thought of "dismissal" of the LDF government over the political violence in the state.

He said that party offices and workers' houses can't be attacked and political parties should be more vigilant and ask workers to keep away from such incidents. The nine arrested persons in connection with the case are under the police custody for evidence collection and further interrogation.

While the political rhetoric raised by CPI (M) and the RSS-BJP constantly seeks to pin the blame on one side over the other, the pattern of deaths is relatively equally distributed across both.
