'Bachelorette' Rachel Lindsay Calls Peter 'Manipulative,' Reveals Who Should Be Bachelor

The couple is now engaged. In the 13 seasons of the show's history, five of the men who've received the first impression rose have won. Rachel makes it extremely clear that she didn't go on this show to end up with a boyfriend but with a husband.

"You are everything that I could want in a woman, in my wife, the mother of my children".

As you may recall, just as Peter was about to get into the Fantasy Suite, reality got in the way. Also, Bryan's flawless answers and rehearsed polish raised some red flags with Rachel's family during her home visit, but not enough to stop Rachel from her ultimate decision.

It came down to Peter and Bryan. There's a weird coldness between them that Bryan finally addresses, but Rachel assures Bryan that it's just a bit of nerves and stress.

Pals, Monday night's The Bachelorette finale was wild. "Peter was just being honest".

Typically, a booted Bachelorette contestantbecomes the next Bachelor, but this contestant should not be Peter. Basically, we felt like Peter was perpetually penalized on this show for not wanting to propose at the end of it. It was uncomfortable but the amount of turmoil over the engagement was way more interesting than the alternative.

Rachel worries this all sounds too familiar like the long term relationship she had before. The show didn't try to convince us that Bryan was some extraordinary catch.

Bryan and I had such a attractive day riding horses.

Abasolo, 37, though, had no problem proposing and Lindsay accepted. Again, Peter is allowed to be cautious about one of the biggest decisions of his life, but then why was he a contestant on a show that notably squishes "falling in love" into less than three months? It was terrible for them but great for as a removed member of the audience. It didn't need that buzzworthy line though; the emotions were enough.

America was fully prepared to see Peter run in with a ring, apologize, and the two of them would run off together chasing sunsets.

And Bryan? He wasn't all that complimentary about his final rose rival. Peter and Rachel's interview was messy but riveting because none of that pomp was on display.

"You see the emotional breakup that Peter [Kraus] and I had and he was ready to propose but at that point, I knew that he wasn't the one for me and it was really important for me to not have two men standing up there at the end", Lindsay said. At the same time, Rachel was defensive, overly nasty to him. Kraus asked himself as he bawled into his sweater. The last time a finale was this odd, but compelling, is when Jason Mesnick dumped Melissa for Molly.

"I [wasn't just] talking about [being the] Bachelor, just, you know, you have to take a leap of faith, and I struggled with that, and I thought Peter and I had that similarity".

"I was relieved she wasn't chosen by Nick because, let's face it, she was too good for him", Jabbar said. We just didn't know it was going to feel this unsatisfying for everyone involved.
