South Korea will deploy four additional missile defense system

The US reaffirmed its "ironclad" security commitment for the key regional allies in a working-level video conference on the North's latest nuclear test, according to South Korea's defense ministry.

The THAAD systems will be deployed on Thursday at a new base in Seongju, 300 kilometers (186 miles) from Seoul, the Yonhap agency reported, citing the Ministry of National Defense, Sputnik reported.

Thousands of demonstrators formed a human chain around the US embassy in Seoul in June, with protesters holding signs which read "Koreans hate THAAD" and "Yes to peace talks", as well as banners aimed at US President Donald Trump ahead of his visit to the country. "But as I said, we have many options to do so".

North Korea's detonation of a hydrogen bomb on Sunday marked its most powerful nuclear test to date. The ministry said Seoul and Washington made a decision to speed up the deployment in view of Pyongyang provocations in recent weeks including two intercontinental ballistic missile launches and its sixth nuclear test.

Geng says the THAAD system would aggravate tensions on the Korean Peninsula and jeopardize the strategic and security interests of China and other countries.

Q1 GDP growth at 5.7% lowest in 3 yrs
The government, however, denied any impact of demonetisation , but admitted that the roll-out of GST could have had an impact. India's GDP growth decelerated in the April to June quarter to 5.7 percent amidst a sharp drop in manufacturing activity.

THAAD is created to intercept ballistic missiles.

They also agreed to keep cooperating in a campaign to apply "maximum pressure" on Pyongyang in order to force its leadership to abandon the nuclear and missile programs, said the ministry.

However, at a news conference in China, Mr Putin stopped short of expressing support for more United Nations sanctions on North Korea, and said Russian Federation viewed them as "useless and ineffective".

Moon said Wednesday that the situation could get out of hand if North Korea's missile and nuclear tests aren't stopped. He told reporters before his departure from Japan that "We must make North Korea understand there is no bright future for the country if it pursues the current path".
