North Korean Hackers 'Stole' US-South Korean War Plans

A pair of B-1B Lancers, American supersonic nuclear-capable bombers flying out of Guam, carried out their first joint nighttime mission with South Korea over the Korean Peninsula on Tuesday night.

The warplanes conducted bombing simulations in the seas off both sides of the peninsula and flew across the territory in a almost three-hour mission, according to the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

The B-1Bs also conducted exercises with Japan's Air Self-Defense Force in what the USA statement called a "sequenced bilateral mission".

"Through the practice this time, South Korean and USA air forces showed off the allies' resolve for strong retaliation against North Korea's nuclear and missile threats", it added.

Senior diplomats of South Korea and the United States will meet next week to discuss issues of mutual concern, including North Korea's evolving nuclear and missile threats, the foreign ministry here said Wednesday. Four months later, the United States and North Korea signed the Agreed Framework, under which the North would eventually dismantle its nuclear program.

"It is our asset, which we invested in according to North Korean law, and procedures set by both governments of the two Koreas". Its latest missile launch, later that same month, flew over Japan before splashing into the Pacific Ocean.

In addition to the missile tests, it has conducted six nuclear tests since 2006, including the most powerful one on September 3.

Catalonia Suspends Declaration of Independence for Talks with Madrid
Wednesday, a government source who refused to be named said "all options" were on the table as the crisis talks were under way. European Council President Donald Tusk had urged Puigdemont not to proclaim independence.

When it first opened in 2004, the Kaesong complex, located about 54 kilometers northwest of Seoul, was meant to promote inter-Korean development and give North Korean workers a taste of life in the south, including snack foods like the cakes known as Choco Pies and toiletries that were resold as luxury items in the North. It also stressed that the crew of about 150 "operates with a high state of readiness and is always prepared to tackle any mission that comes their way".

And while there are many in Washington who are willing to explore the possibility of talks, it is less clear whether President Donald Trump will personally be in favor of a former U.S. leader taking the spotlight. Chad Hardt, commanding officer. But that is not working as the North is just responding with new missile launches and nuclear tests.

Late last month, the Air Force sent two B-1Bs over global waters close to the North's east coast.

The South Korean military said this was part of a regular exercise to bolster military defenses and also to display the alliance between the United States and South Korea.

Trump has responded with a series of bellicose statements, prompting a war of words with Pyongyang, which in turn has threatened to shoot USA bombers out of the sky and fire missiles into the waters near Guam.

Australia's foreign and defense ministers visited the heavily fortified inter-Korean border Thursday and emphasized the need to inflict "maximum diplomatic pressure" to rein in North Korea's nuclear ambition.

Trump will travel to South Korea as part of a visit to the region that will take place from November 3-14 and will include stops in Japan, China, Vietnam, the Philippines and Hawaii.
