David Cassidy In Critical Condition ... Organs Failing

David Cassidy is now in critical condition and suffering from organ failure in a Florida hospital, Us Weekly can confirm.

Cassidy entered the hospital earlier this week and is now in need of a liver transplant, his rep said. His publicist, JoAnn Geffen, confirmed his hospitalization, noting, "he is now conscious and surrounded by family". He's the stepson of actress and fellow "Partridge Family" star Shirley Jones.

TMZ said Cassidy is suffering from organ failure and unless he gets a liver transplant soon he could soon die. Cassidy's health has been in decline for more than two months, and his family has been told to prepare for the worst.
