Comedian Hannibal Buress arrested for disorderly intoxication in Miami

Comedian Hannibal Buress was arrested late Saturday night and it was all caught on video.

"Explain what I'm detained for", Hannibal Buress asks Miami police officers repeatedly as he leans against a police auto while handcuffed.

"I am under arrest?"

A video of Buress's arrest quickly made the rounds on social media, and showed the comedian handcuffed and asking officers why he was being detained. "For what?. Explain what I'm detained for", he asks two police officers in the video.

The Miami Police Department shared on Twitter that Buress was arrested for disorderly intoxication, but did not mention a charge for trespassing. Eventually, an officer forces Buress into the vehicle. Take the handcuffs off of me, I didn't do anything. Miami police arrested him around 10:30 p.m. Saturday at Northwest Second Avenue and 20th Street —in the heart of Wynwood, which is hosting Art Basel-related events and drawing celebrities from around the globe.

Luckily for Buress, he was released on a $500 bond around 6:00am this morning. "First @MiamiPD said they arrested @HannibalBuress for 'trespassing.' Now they say 'disorderly intoxication.' Sounds more like 'being a loud black guy" to me".

"Once outside, the defendant stood by the front gate and continued yelling profanities", the officers report says. He also is known for bringing attention to sexual assault allegations against fellow comedian Bill Cosby.

He's a rising star in the comedy world, and appeared this year in the summer blockbusters "Baywatch" and "Spider-Man: Homecoming".

Sunday afternoon Buress tweeted a gif of himself from the Adult Swim program "The Eric Andre Show" in an apparent response to the arrest.
