Several chances for snow, ice forecast this week, starting Tuesday

The storm responsible for our first measurable snow in more than two months will gradually move southeast of Colorado through the day on Thursday. The pattern of cold air and snow showers returns by the middle of next week.

A slippery start with a few flurries this morning. Friday will be cold yet again with high temperatures only expected to top out in the low 30s, but without the wind, it won't feel too harsh. Because winds will be blowing from the east over Lake Michigan, the east-central parts of the state will be subject to lake enhancement and see more snow.

Sunshine increases through the afternoon. Additionally, winds will shift from southeast to northeast today, and become gusty in the afternoon. Any snow we get would likely stick, with temperatures falling back toward lows in the mid-20s to near 30. For related traffic news, check out Dr. Gridlock. Afternoon temperatures reach the lower 30s. The overnight period is quiet with partly clear skies.

Thursday night... Partly to mostly cloudy with a low around 33. You may want to allow for some extra time as you leave the house but conditions are improving as the Clipper responsible for the light snow slides away.

As long as you are able to pay their full price up front, you will be able to become the proud owner of the iPhone X. The threat of backorders and shipping delays have dogged the iPhone X since before the phone even launched.

Elsewhere across the United Kingdom sub-zero temperatures are also forecast, with more wintry showers in parts by the end of the week. Highs still on the colder side topping out in the the mid 30s.

Saturday: Sun and clouds. But with Sunday highs in the 40s, anything that falls should be in the form of rain. There's another shot for a few snow showers on Friday.
