GIF Stickers Just Arrived on Instagram Stories, and They're Absolutely Glorious

GIF stickers are available starting today in Instagram version 29 on iOS and Android devices. The feature is already available to a few users.

Instagram is adding GIF stickers to its Stories feature.

The GIF library page will open up. Instagram says that GIPHY has animated stickers for "just about anything", so as long as you're willing to spend searching for a specific one, you should be able to find a sticker that fits perfectly with what you're looking to express with story. Or if you want, you can click a photo or record a video using Instagram's camera.

Among the best features Google ever brought on its revamped keyboard app - Gboard - is support for emojis and Graphics Interchange Format (or GIFs in simpler terms). A personal favorite is the search for "peekers", which produces GIF stickers that pop up and disappear or dangle over an edge, like the legs above.

Nigeria Wants AfDB's West Africa Regional Office In Abuja
President Yemi Osinbajo has said that Nigeria will be getting $400m from the African Development Bank soon as sector loans.

Capture a photo or video, and you should see a smiley face icon at the top, next to the drawing and text tools.

Back to the new GIF sticker feature, though. In fact, Instagram's rival Snapchat, which was the first to come up with Stories, still does not have the option of adding GIFs on them. Instagram will soon let users add any photos or videos of any size to their Stories. When you upload a photo or video, you can pinch to share it in its original dimensions, whether it's portrait or landscape.

Once you've decorated your Story to your liking, you can proceed normally, either adding it to Your Story so all of your followers can check it out or sharing it privately with one or more friends on the app. Any extra room will be filled with a custom colour gradient, and you can always zoom in on the photo to fill the screen'.
