Cameron Norrie with head held high despite Davis Cup defeat

Great Britain will be hoping to have three-time Grand Slam champion Andy Murray and rising star Kyle Edmund available for their World Group Play-off tie later this year as they lost to Spain in the first-round by a 3-1 score.

Norrie, ranked 114 in the world, put in another courageous performance but went on to lose 7-6 (7-4) 2-6 7-6 (7-4) 6-2 in three hours and 43 minutes in Marbella.

The tie opened up with defeat for Britain in the singles, Liam Broady going down 6-3 6-4 7-6 to Vinolas, more than holding his own in a gritty display against the world No.21.

Cameron Norrie, regarded as NZ's best teen talent over the past decade, produced a sensational Davis Cup singles win for Great Britain overnight against Spain.

It was Spain's first tie on home soil since 2013. He pushed him really close and I'm really proud of him.

Pochettino and Tottenham primed and ready ahead of crucial spell
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has said that Adam Lallana is unlikely to feature against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday afternoon. Tottenham have Harry Kane - the current Premier League top scorer , though Mohamed Salah is only two behind him.

Norrie then fell 3-0 down in the third set but twice came back from a break down to force a second tie-break.

The Cup rookie, who had yet to play a professional match on clay, played for NZ up until 2013 after he and his family moved her from South Africa.

Ramos-Vinolas struggled early on but eventually prevailed against Norrie.

As well as Norrie played, he was never in front in the match and the effort of coming from behind finally told in the fourth set.
