'Faith is central to American life,' our rights 'come from our Creator'

President Donald Trump on Thursday merged his "America first" governing philosophy with his religious views, saying Americans should feel lucky God placed them here. Millions and millions of people lifted Sophia up in their prayers.

"To see thousands of people from all over the world coming together in our nation's capital to pray and to acknowledge that we are one nation under God was something I will never forget", West said in a statement shared with The Christian Post after the event. "And I will tell you, it gave me an unbelievable sense of calm knowing that at that point it was in God's hands", he said.

US President Donald Trump on Thursday once again denounced the "repressive regimes" of Cuba, Venezuela, Iran and North Korea and said that his administration is on the side of all those people around the world suffering "persecution" due to their religious faith.

The National Prayer Breakfast is put on by the Fellowship Foundation, which was long run by Doug Coe, who died a year ago. Trump said he was proof that "with God all things are possible". He says that the United States is a nation of believers and that we value faith in God above all else.

"Our rights are not given to us by man; our rights come from our Creator", Trump said to applause.

"Great religious and political leaders, and many friends, including T.V. producer Mark Burnett of our wonderful 14 season Apprentice triumph, will be there", Trump wrote.

Nassar Is Sentenced on Three More Charges of Sexual Abuse
For months, Nassar denied the accusations, saying he was doing a legitimate medical treatment involving pelvic floor work. "Each time he got away, he was empowered to continue and ideal his abuse and his techniques even more".

The annual event began in 1953 when lawmakers asked former President Dwight Eisenhower to join them for breakfast "in the spirit of Jesus". "Firefighters braved blinding smoke and flames to rescue children from devastating wildfires", said the U.S. president.

Scalise reiterated the president's comments on the integral relationship between faith and liberty.

Mr. Trump recognized 9-year-old Sophia Marie Campa Peters, who was at the event with her parents at the Washington Hilton.

"Each president presents a different set of problems", Hunter said.

Despite continued claims by the president that he wants to be a uniter, voters consider him one of the most divisive presidents in recent history. They are two terrific people. Last year, the keynote speaker was Barry Black, the first African American and the first Seventh-day Adventist chaplain of the Senate.
