Iwobi In Action As Kane Fires Dominant Tottenham Past Arsenal

Harry Kane tormented Arsenal again as the Tottenham striker's clinical finish sealed a 1-0 win in the north London derby at Wembley yesterday.

A tepid derby came to life in the 49th minute when Kane soared over Laurent Koscielny to meet Ben Davies' cross and sparked a second half of complete control by Tottenham at Wembley Stadium.

"There's still plenty of games to play", Bellerin said.

Arsenal play Ostersunds in the first leg of their Europa League last 32 tie on Thursday.

Arsene Wenger's side were simply not at the races, despite the fact they defended reasonably well in the first-half, creating very few chances and showing little ability to control the tempo.

Following games such as the magnificent victory over Manchester United at Wembley and the derby win over Arsenal it becomes nearly inconceivable that Spurs could miss out on the top four.

The Frenchman said, via the Independent: "It's a game we couldn't afford to lose, of course, and that makes it much more hard now".

"The game should have been finished at half-time for me". We missed opportunities on the counter-attack. We kept them quiet until the last five minutes when they piled on the pressure.

Asked why he did not request more money to spend on his defence from Arsenal owner Stan Kroenke, Wenger added: "If Kroenke gives you £200m, Man City then get £400m".

That is what happened but it was the other mistakes and lack of intensity and organisation which should have seen Spurs lead by at least three goals before they almost messed it up. They had chances at the end but it could have been a much bigger win. "Football is not about switching off for three games and switch it on for one", he told reporters at his post-match presser.

They failed for the first time in 20 years to qualify for the Champions League this campaign and the situation looks set to repeat itself by the end of this term.

"We need to take the initiative a bit more, to attack more and keep the ball because we didn't do that today".

From the start, it was clear Tottenham would be the aggressors in the latest meeting between these eternal rivals in front of a Premier League record crowd of 83,222.
