Israeli forces injure 10 Palestinians on Gaza border

Israeli soldiers have killed a Palestinian man during clashes in the occupied West Bank, the Palestinian Health Ministry says.

Palestinian medical sources said the young man, identified as Mohammad Zein al-Ja'bari, aged 24, was shot by the soldiers with a live round in his chest, in the Bab az-Zawiya area, in the center of Hebron city.

Confrontations broke out near the West Bank cities of Ramallah and Al-Bireh, where army troops used teargas and rubber bullets to disperse Palestinian protesters, eyewitnesses told Anadolu Agency.

The Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul-Gheit urged Guatemala to cancel its decision to move its embassy to Jerusalem on Thursday, according to the official Palestinian Authority news site Wafa.

On December 6, US President Donald Trump bucked decades of US foreign policy by formally recognizing Jerusalem as Israel's capital and setting in motion plans to move the US embassy there from Tel Aviv.

Ms Sherald saw the picture as well and shared it on her Instagram account, to which Ms Obama replied with three heart-eyed emojis. In the now candid photo , Parker Curry stares at Michelle Obama as if she is fascinated or in awe.

Meanwhile, at least four people were wounded in the Gaza Strip on Friday, one of them seriously, in clashes along the border with Israel, the health ministry in the Palestinian enclave said.

The status of Jerusalem, Israel's largest city and Palestine's planned capital, should it achieve sovereignty, has always been a hurdle in the peace process.

Trump's decision, welcomed by Israel, has been condemned by leaders and foreign ministers across the world, who have said the city's status should be determined through negotiations between Israel and the Palestinians.

Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh said on Friday that the group would not be able to contain the mass protests on the day the US moves its embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.
