United's derby high short-lived as Sevilla end their Champions dream

Ben Yedder struck in the 74th and 78th minutes after coming off the bench two minutes earlier to stun the Red Devils 2-1 at Old Trafford, after the first leg ended goalless.

Jose Mourinho's side will go into the game in high spirits after beating rivals Liverpool 2-1 in the league last weekend.

The visitors were deserving winners as they controlled the game throughout, but had to wait for Ben Yedder's introduction as a substitute 18 minutes from time to add a clinical finish by taking his Champions League tally for the season to eight goals in seven appearances.

He was once the new kid on the block in the Champions League, the Portuguese hurricane blowing through the grandest competition of them all, but now, after his Manchester United team exited the tournament with barely a whimper against Sevilla, Jose Mourinho looks like a man out of touch, on and off the pitch.

During his spells with Porto, Chelsea, Inter and Real Madrid, Mourinho has developed a reputation as the master of stifling the opposition before striking at the most opportune moment, but the tables were turned in dramatic fashion here. "We lost, that's football".

How Facebook Is Helping Spread Hate Speech In The Rohingya Crisis
Facebook "substantively contributed to the level of acrimony and dissention and conflict, if you will, within the public". Myanmar's envoy Htin Lynn rejected Lee's remarks and called for the council to fire her.

"I told you yesterday that it would be disappointment if we would lose the match", the United boss said.

"The second goal made it impossible". Mourinho's decision to start the Belgium midfielder was perhaps understandable on the basis that the United manager needed somebody to nullify the threat of Sevilla's own towering midfielder, Steven N'Zonzi. Had David Moyes uttered such comments during his brief reign as United manager, he would have been lambasted, but even Moyes was able to take United into the Champions League quarterfinals. However, the Belgian's effort was saved by Sergio Rico at the near post.

"After 10 to 15 minutes, Sevilla has a good team and can hide the ball in midfield".

The second period began in the same vein as the first with Sevilla on the front foot, and only a brilliant last-ditch tackle by Eric Bailly denied Correa a clear sight of goal. "We are not the only team that invests money in players".

"I am very happy to win here in this special, historic place", head coach Vincenzo Montella said after reaching the quarter-finals.
