Ex-Playmate sues tabloid publisher for burying Trump story

The former Playboy model who alleged she had an affair with Donald Trump and was contractually silenced by The National Enquirer is suing the paper's parent company so she can finally share her truth.

McDougal's current lawyer, Peter Stris told the newspaper in an email that American Media Inc. carried out a "multifaceted effort to silence" his client. And on the subject of Daniels, the Wall Street Journal has obtained results on a polygraph test she took over various claims. The agreement reportedly keeps McDougal from sharing her story elsewhere and promised to run columns by McDougal and place her on two covers. Cohen told the Times he does not recall speaking with Davidson before the contract was signed but has not addressed McDougal's claim that he worked with American Media.

Zervos claims Trump kissed her twice on the lips during a lunch meeting in his NY office in 2007 and, while in Beverly Hills, she alleges he kissed her aggressively and touched her breast.

McDougal said her lawyer at the time, Keith Davidson, secretly negotiated with Michael Cohen, Trump's personal lawyer, on the AMI deal.

Ms McDougal's alleged 10-month affair was said to have begun in 2006.

The news of McDougal's suit came as NY judge allowed a defamation case brought by Summer Zervos, who has accused Trump of sexual assault, to move forward by denying a defense motion to dismiss the case.

Ohio State Basketball: Kam Williams saved his best for last
I love freestyle wrestling, so I'm going to be competing for a really long time , hopefully, after this. "I'm excited about it". I felt good about the second match and I feel even better about the third match if we end up competing against each other.

McDougal said AMI "lied to me, made empty promises and repeatedly intimidated and manipulated me".

"She will no longer be quiet". Trump has denied the affairs, which both women have described as consensual.

McDougal claims in her lawsuit that Cohen was more involved in contract negotiations than Pecker and American Media have let on. "I just want the opportunity to set the record straight and move on with my life, free from this company, its executives, and its lawyers". Davidson told her before the interview that American Media would put $500,000 into an escrow account for her, and that "a seven-figure publishing contract awaited her", the complaint reads.

"The lawsuit filed today aims to restore her right to her own voice", he said, adding, "We intend to invalidate the so-called contract that American Media Inc. imposed on Karen so she can move forward with the private life she deserves".

McDougal's suit centers on her claim that she had an affair with Trump in 2006 ― around the same time the porn star known as Stormy Daniels says she, too, had an extramarital relationship with him.

After she spoke to The New Yorker about her alleged affair with Trump, McDougal says she received an additional threat from AMI, telling her that "any further disclosures would breach Karen's contract" and "cause considerable monetary damages".
