Ibrahimovic confirms LA Galaxy switch after leaving Man United

Swedish striker, Zlatan Ibrahimovic has bizarrely taken a full page advert in the NY times to announce is arrival at U.S. Major League Soccer side, Los Angeles Galaxy.

A move to the United States appeared close when United agreed to release Ibrahimovic and he revealed LA as his next stop on Friday.

The advert, in which Ibrahimovic was pictured in the white Galaxy kit, carried a message from the 36-year-old saying "Dear Los Angeles, you're welcome".

There was no official confirmation of the signing from the Major League Soccer team, however Dan Beckerman, the president of entertainment giant AEG, which operates the Galaxy, told the paper that he expected a lot of the former Swedish worldwide.

The LA Times have said Zlatan Ibrahimovic is "an even bigger name than David Beckham" in their report on the former Manchester United striker joining the Galaxy.

The charismatic goalscorer had not played for United this season since featuring in a 2-2 draw against Burnley on 26 December.

Ibrahimovic, considered one of the best players of his generation, has scored more than 450 goals for club and country in his illustrious career, which has spanned twenty years.

The new program - called Shopping Actions - launched Monday, but several retailers have been testing it for months. Both Walmart and Target a year ago struck deals to appear in search results via Google Home.

The move comes less than 24 hours after Manchester United terminated Zlatan's contract on immediate basis amid intense speculations that he was on his way to Major League Soccer.

"I am ready to go now", Ibrahimovic told the LA Times.

However, Ibrahimovic's talent and standing in the game has proved understandably attractive for the Galaxy.

One of football's greatest ever characters has called time on his 18 months in England's top flight as Zlatan Ibrahimovic's spell at Manchester United came to an end on Thursday night.

Now Galaxy have unveiled the striker on their Twitter feed, with Ibrahimovic's repeated assertion that he is no ordinary footballer and more akin to a lion the theme of the viral video. I'm not there for something else.
