Deportee ditches ICE agents at JFK, slips away in cab

Federal authorities say an immigration detainee about to be deported to Senegal escaped custody at New York's Kennedy Airport and fled in a taxi.

The man, who is described as a "violent deportee", broke away after agents removed Mbacke's handcuffs as he went through X-ray screening, the Daily News reports. The agents apparently waited close to an hour before notifying other authorities. Law enforcement officials tell the station they have him on surveillance camera getting into a cab outside the terminal.

The man was being transferred from one flight to another at the Queens airport's Terminal 4 when he managed to elude officers around 8:30 p.m., officials said.

Mbacke was last seen wearing a black or purple shirt, jeans and sneakers. He then bolted, Port Authority police said.

Hugo Lloris has theory behind Paul Pogba's Manchester United form
World Cup victor David Trezeguet insists Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba still has a big role to play for France this summer.

He entered the country legally in 2005, but was ordered deported in September 2015 when he violated the terms of his immigration status.

The 6-2, 190-pound man remains at large, sources said. ICE along with state, federal and local authorities are now actively seeking his whereabouts.

Federal and local agents are searching for him, and members of the public should not try to apprehend him.
