Vehicle fell in California river in region where family vanished

Fears mount over the safety of a missing Keralite family, who were on a road trip in the USA state of California, after an SUV matching their vehicle was believed to be swept away by a swollen river.

Sandeep and Soumya Thottapuilly and their two children, 12-year-old Siddhanty and 9-year-old Saachi, were reported missing on Sunday when they did not return to their home in San Jose, California, from a road trip to Portland, Oregon, on Friday as expected. It has now emerged that an SUV matching their vehicle was believed to be swept away by a flood-swollen river, according to a media report.

"My son Sandeep Thottapilly is residing in California, USA".

The Dorrian family say they are "devastated" that their family home of 22 years has been "completely ruined" and that her last remaining possessions were destroyed, the BBC reported. "Would request your good office to take up this matter with concerned authorities in U.S. and help find my son and his family as soon as possible", the post read.

Replying to this message, Sushma Swaraj tweeted: "I am in constant touch with our Consulate in San Francisco".

A body was pulled out of the surf on Saturday but its identity was not immediately identified. "Through the collaborated efforts of all the involved agencies we are working to resolve this incident as quickly and safely as possible". Down, in 2005. The California Highway Patrol confirmed to that an SUV traveling on Highway 101 near Garberville plunged into the Eel River on Friday and that preliminary investigation revealed that the SUV was a maroon Honda Pilot.

The vehicle is the same kind that the Thottapilly family owned.

Friends and relatives are asking for help in an ongoing search for a family of four from Southern California that left on a spring break road trip late last month but hasn't been seen or heard from since April 5.

"Last known location is around Klamath - Redwood National Park Area" in Northern California near the OR border. "This vehicle and the missing person's vehicle are similar but, at this time, we are unable to confirm it's the same vehicle".

Sandeep works as a vice-president for Union Bank, according to his Facebook and LinkedIn pages.

The description of the vehicle, a Honda Pilot, matches that of the SUV the Thottapilly family was driving when they vanished.
