Bellew stops Haye in all-British grudge match

In yet another exciting; domestic fight at a sold out O2 Arena, Tony "The Bomber" Bellew secured another stoppage victory against David Haye, doing so this time in a more emphatic and clinical fashion! Bellew took advantage of his hurt opponent and cracked Haye again to the tune of the bell signaling the end of round which coincided with the start of referee Howard John Foster's count.

The achilles injury that Haye suffered in the first fight appeared to cause him problems once again, particular after Bellew felled him in the third round.

The boxing community were mixed in their opinion of Haye's brutal defeat but for the most part, people were respectful towards the former two-weight world champion.

He campaigned at light-heavyweight which wasn't for him, because he had to squeeze right down, and cruiserweight is clearly his division. I don't care who you are, you're going out. Whatever you say about Haye, he grew old in there tonight.

'I enjoyed every moment of this fight campaign, from the lung busting sessions, the press conference shenanigans, early nights, clean living and even the tear up itself! Bellew is now the one moving forward as Haye is trying to find an opening to turn the fight around.

One British boxing's most anticipated rematches in recent years promised so much and it delivered.

PL round-up: Late strike keeps West Brom hopes alive
They have not played in the Championship since the 2007-08 season, when they finished second to earn automatic promotion. Everyone was disappointed and together, we all wanted to get these three points against Watford - and we did that".

"Don't detract from his career - he's an unbelievable fighter and will go down in history better than I ever will".

But away from what Bellew calls the "circus", he faced family tragedy when brother-in-law Ashley died in a tragic accident in August while on holiday in Mexico. The third round seemed to be anyone's round until Bellew scored a crucial knockdown with about 15 seconds remaining in the round.

'Your messages of love and positivity have been overwhelming, aside from the natural disappointment and a few bruises I'm good'.

"Emotionally I haven't really been there in this camp". "I'm in a room at night, I'm on my jack and you cry yourself to sleep because your missus is gone".

His promoter Eddie Hearn added: "If he retires tomorrow, I would be the happiest man in the world". I left an empty seat in row B for him.

"I know he is watching me and he's smiling at me and laughing at me. He's a Liverpool fan so he will be laughing at me with them in the Champions League final".
