Susan Collins Won't Support Anti-Roe v. Wade Nominee

Lisa Murkowski of Alaska have already spoken to the president about his pending decision.

Trump's comments come as a crucial moderate Republican senator said any nominee to the Court who said they would vote to overturn Roe would not be "acceptable".

"I would not support a nominee who would demonstrate hostility to Roe v. Wade", she said. "I believe that is a very important, fundamental tenet to our judicial system".

Speculation is growing as to whether the landmark ruling will be overturned when President Trump makes his pick to replace Justice Anthony Kennedy on the Supreme Court.

"During the morning, I interviewed and met with four potential justices of our great Supreme Court", he said.

During his 2016 campaign and presidency, Trump has embraced anti-abortion groups and vowed to appoint federal judges who will favor efforts to roll back abortion rights. A pro-life woman on our nation's highest court will be a living rebuke to those who falsely equate abortion with women's empowerment.

Croatia through to quarters
Rakitic made the comments about Eriksen ahead of World Cup last-16 tie between Croatia and Denmark on Sunday evening. Subs: Livakovic, Corluka, Kovacic, Kramaric, Jedvaj, Bradaric, Caleta-Car, Badelj, Pjaca, Pivaric, Lovre Kalinic.

She reiterated that Trump does not intend to ask any of the candidates for their views on Roe v. Wade, the 1973 case that affirmed women's right to abortion.

"I don't think I'm going to be so specific in the questions I'll be asking", Trump told Fox. Collins reportedly wants the president to tack on some additional jurists to his list of 25 potential new justices. The White House released a public list of the potential 24 contenders immediately after the news of Kennedy's retirement, and pundits have speculated ever since over just who will make the final cut. Republicans now hold a 51-seat majority in the Senate, and a Supreme Court nominee will be confirmed by a simple majority of votes.

The 49 Democrats and the two independents are expected to oppose any Trump nominee and Shah will have to work with Republicans in Congress to get a majority backing for the candidate. "We are excited about the opportunity of putting justices on the court who are going to look at the original intent of the constitution and rule in that manner", said Carol Trobias of the National Right to Life Committee.

"I believe very much that Roe v. Wade is settled law as it has been described by Chief Justice [John] Roberts", she said on ABC's "This Week".

What Schumer doesn't mention is a point evangelical leaders have made in recent days: A ruling overturning Roe v. Wade wouldn't immediately end abortions, but rather kick the issue to the states.

I have six words to respond to blaring headlines that Republican U.S. Sen.

"You don't overturn precedent unless there's a good reason", Graham said.
