Guardiola praises Joe Hart and hints at Man City stay

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is prepared to help Joe Hart find the exit door after the shot-stopper returned to the club.

"It would have been a mistake if he'd come here when he wanted to go to Maurizio and Chelsea".

Manchester City head coach Pep Guardiola has given his verdict on star winger Leroy Sane missing out on the 2018 FIFA World Cup ahead of the new season.

"We tried, but at the end all my advice for the players is that they have to go where they want to go".

"What happened last season was a effect of the previous season and we will try to come back to the basics and make a good season".

Former New York City FC striker Jack Harrison also made his first start for City but it was Dortmund's United States worldwide Christian Pulisic, back on home soil, who was biggest threat in a first half of few chances.

Trump backs Putin on election meddling
Donald and Russian President Vladimir Putin hold a joint press conference after their summit in Helsinki, Finland . In a statement, Schumer said that Trump's behavior leaves "a single, ominous question ... over the White House".

But one player who will be involved against Dortmund is out-of-favour goalkeeper Joe Hart.

Hart is looking for a permanent move away from the Etihad Stadium, after successive season-long loans at Torino and West Ham, but the City boss has been impressed by his attitude.

Hart is on City's pre-season tour of the United States, and played the second half of their 1-0 defeat by Borussia Dortmund in Chicago on Friday.

"It's been a pleasure working with academy players over the last few days".

Guardiola has challenged last season's PFA Young Player of the Year to prove his worth for both club and country by eclipsing the heights he reached in the previous campaign.

He last played for City in a Champions League qualifier against Steaua Bucharest in August 2016 having been axed by Guardiola following his arrival in Manchester two years ago. These players are Premier League players but need the right development and are fighting against some of the best players ion the planet for games, it doesn't work like that and loans are the name of the game. "I can't say why certain decisions were made".
