Serena Williams claims 'discrimination' over number of drug tests

Serena Williams says she is a victim of "discrimination" as she is the most drug tested American tennis player, BBC reported.

It has supposedly been proven that she has been tested twice as many times as other players on the tennis circuit.

Williams said she is having ongoing conversations with the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) on the matter, including the ratio of tests between her and other players on the tour.

"...and it's that time of the day to get "randomly" drug tested and only test Serena", she burst out on Twitter on Tuesday. "Out of all the players it's been proven I'm the one getting tested the most". "At least I'll be keeping the sport clean #StayPositive", said Serena in her first tweet.

The 36-year-old who had slammed the authorities at Wimbledon for "unfair treatment" after being repeatedly targeted from the drug testers, once again spoke of the discriminatory behavior after being called to another such drug tests.

BBC Sport has contacted Usada for a response to Williams' tweet. This would mark the sixth time that Williams has been tested this year.

Homeland Security Secretary Nielsen doesn't believe Russian election interference favored Trump
She added that Russia's influence operations were aimed at causing chaos on both sides. Trump left the White House for his New Jersey golf club for the weekend.

Following a complaint with regards to repeated testing, Williams appears to be claiming, with proof attached, that she is being singled out and tested at a far higher rate than her counterparts. Speaking at the All-England Club before the tournament, Williams said: "How is it I'm getting tested five times in June?"

"Tennis has given me so much". And if I'm not there then they just leave. I feel like equality, that's all I've been preaching. She had already been tested five times since before she headed to Wimbledon. The athlete has often been ridiculed and criticized for her muscular figure.

After being forced to withdraw from the French Open due to an injury, Williams went all the way to the Wimbledon finals this year, where she eventually lost to Angelique Kerber.

"It's just about being equal and not centring one person out".

She is set to play in the Rogers Cup in Montreal, which starts on August 3.
