Pacers hand India an 168-run advantage over England

Pandya took a career-best five for 28 in six overs to transform the game after England had lunched in the comfortable position of 46 without loss. England were bundled out in 38.2 overs after India had posted 329 in the first innings.

This was the second time this year that England had lost all 10 wickets inside a session of Test cricket following an embarrassing 58 all out against New Zealand in Auckland in March. England had lost five wickets for 20 runs, with the last six wickets falling for 63 runs.

Only Jos Buttler's 39 denied Kohli the chance of enforcing the follow-on. There on, Pandya ripped through England's credentials that its batting runs deep.

Instead, Bumrah and Shami were off-target, either dropping the ball short or straying down the pads, as Cook and Jennings got away, finding the boundary six times in total. But the 20-year-old quickly settled down, and would finish with five dismissals on the day.

The good work of Rahul and Dhawan was taken forward by Indian skipper Virat Kohli and his deputy Ajinkya Rahane.

The umpires called for a review but made a ´soft signal´ of out and the on-field call was upheld.

The very next ball Jasprit Bumrah struck at the other end, as Keaton Jennings hung his bat out and nicked one.

Kohli, having compiled his 18th test fifty, carried on confidently and looked set for his 23rd test hundred, and second of the series, until tempted to drive at a rare Rashid turner which Ben Stokes gobbled up at slip.

Turkey's president says country will defy economic threats

He could only manage 10 before an edge off paceman Mohammed Shami flew waist-high to Rahul.

Third catch for Rishabh Pant as Ollier Pope gets Caught behind.

England were now 118 for seven. The host's desperate trial to make them apart was thrived by Stuart Broad and more spectacularly by Cook who outsmart Rahane by a one handed catch at first slip.

Stuart Broad survived the hat-trick ball but was still out for a duck, the left-hander plumb lbw to a Pandya inswinger.

They got them when Buttler´s leading edge off Shami just cleared Ajinkya Rahane at cover-point.

Openers Shikhar Dhawan and KL Rahul ensured India maintained their dominance over England in the evening session, sharing an opening stand of 60 before Rahul was bowled by Stokes.

Instead it was England's less heralded all-rounder Woakes, centurion and man of the match in the second test win at Lord's, who took centre stage.
