Gmail Confidential Mode rolling out on Android; here’s how to use it

Confidential Mode, which lets users send self-destructing emails, has begun rolling out to Gmail's Android and iOS apps.

Head over to the Gmail app on your mobile device.

Confidential Mode, introduced as part of the new Gmail, has arrived on mobile. You can also Renew Access if you want them to see the message. When this is enabled, the recipient will get a text message containing the passcode, and they have to enter it to unlock the email.

If you're familiar with how Inbox handles undoing sent emails, the implementation in Gmail is basically identical.

This feature has been available with the desktop users since the previous year. This means that if you want to send sensitive information via e-mail, you'll be able to do so with added security. You don't need to update the app, just have a look in the menu. Tap the three dots on the right top corner to choose "Confidential Mode".

Donald Trump under fire for comments about Aretha Franklin
Though she left the city to pursue her career in NY and Los Angeles, she returned to the city in 1982 to be closer to her family. On the other hand, Donald Trump could not resist opening his remarks on the singer's death with a little self-promotion.

In addition, all messages sent through confidential mode, you can not forward a text from them it will be impossible to copy. Recipients who don't use Gmail will get emailed a passcode.

For the time being, SMS-based passcodes are only available for users in North America, Europe, India, Japan and South America.

For one thing, emails sent via Microsoft or Yahoo Mail will not have these same capabilities at this point. Tapping on this option will now say that content is expired, and the recipient will see the same.

Just as fundamental has been the development of Google's Gmail, and the fact that it keeps evolving over time makes it that much better.

The emails will be received like normal emails for all Gmail users, but those using other services such as Yahoo, the email will be opened in a secure web portal. It is made possible by the mode as the sender can remove the options, which support forwarding, downloading, copying or printing the data.
