Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe reunited with daughter during three day Iran prison release

The "Free Nazanin" campaign group, run by her husband Richard Ratcliffe, welcomed the temporary release but called for her permanent freedom.

Detained British-Iranian aid worker Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe, a project manager with the Thomson Reuters Foundation, has been released from jail in Iran for three days, her supporters have said.

Johnson, while foreign secretary, drew widespread criticism late previous year after he said that Zaghari-Ratcliffe was "simply teaching people journalism" before her arrest - a claim her family and employer vehemently deny.

The imprisoned Briton was called on Thursday morning while she was still in her night cloths and told that she had 10 minutes to get ready because she was being released, the Free Nazanin Campaign said.

Ms Zaghari-Ratcliffe, 39, who was arrested and jailed in 2016, accused of spreading propaganda against Tehran's hardline Islamist regime, he said.

He confirmed his wife and their four-year-old daughter, Gabriella, had been reunited.

United Kingdom foreign secretary Jeremy Hunt responded to the news from NY, where he's visiting the UN.

This is why medical school is free at NYU
Debt incurred by paying for medical school tuition fundamentally influences the demographic profile of medical school classes. On average, doctors now graduating from a private school do so with $202,000 in debt.

"Gabriella had picked some flowers from the family garden, and was waiting to present them - the tradition she has seen for families waiting outside Evin prison".

"Furlough is not full freedom - we want her home, not just on holiday from prison - but it is still such a good step".

Her now 4-year-old daughter lives with her grandparents in Iran, while her husband has been barred from entering the country.

"This was a very happy surprise after a number of false dawns recently, which had been increasingly unsettling", he said.

There has been no clear statement from Iranian authorities about why Zaghari-Ratcliffe was released, but some have speculated it could be a conciliatory gesture to mark the Islamic festival of Eid.

"I didn't tell Gabriella or for a long time my mum - so if it didn't happen I would be the only one to suffer". "But being in prison AT ALL is gross injustice and she must be PERMANENTLY released for which every effort will continue".

The British arm of Amnesty International also celebrated her temporary release as an "amazing news".
