Should Manchester United sack Jose Mourinho?

In his first season as Real Madrid's manager in 2010-11, Jose Mourinho led the team to its first Copa del Rey title in 18 years.

Mauricio Pochettino's team were not even at their slick best against Manchester United at Old Trafford on Monday but came away with a clinical 3-0 victory that maintained their 100 percent start to the season.

Now in his third season at Old Trafford, United might have already seen the best Mourinho has to offer.

Ever since preseason, when the Portuguese coach adopted a pessimistic and irritable tone, neither the fans nor the board have been happy. If United loses it would trail leader Liverpool by six points.

'There weren't many times I thought like that but you walk out and you're surrounded by all the United fans around the tunnel.

"From what I could read, he could not have the players he was asking for this summer".

"Mourinho knows what he's doing and knows how to win titles", said Rooney, who played under Mourinho for a season when United won the Europa League and the League Cup in 2017.

Bookmaker pays out on Jose Mourinho being sacked as Manchester United manager
A furious Mourinho stormed out of his post-match press conference after taking exception to a journalist's line of questioning. Respect, respect", his voice could be heard echoing from the corridor.

"We lost last season here against Sevilla (in the Champions League) and were booed because we deserved, because we were not good, because we were not risky enough, because Sevilla deserved to win the match, we were booed and deservedly".

Shaw believes it should have been "game over" by half-time as United impressed against a frustrated Spurs side.

"They didn't and then because of the way the game ended with the third goal, it looks worse than it was".

'So it's a fantastic game to get rid of all that negativity around the club.

"You want to make the miracle of my team played so well and strategically we were so, so, so, so, so, so good and you want to try and transform this press conference into let's blame the guy".

"Everyone in the dressing room is really sad, especially after the first half we had and especially a big thank you to the fans for the way they supported us, even when we were down 3-0, was incredible".

"They will come out of it hopefully sooner rather than later". "It wasn't good enough tonight but we will bounce back against Burnley". "We started the game really well, we conceded two goals in the second half".
