Nick in the AM: Its official - Colton Underwood is the next Bachelor

by Dwayne Torres September 5, 2018, 4:13

Underwood, who is also known for once dating Olympic gymnast Aly Raisman, will be the first self-proclaimed νirgiп to be the Bachelor.

'I think it's to look for someone that fits into your life after the show.

Subsequently, an "After the Final Rose" episode was tacked onto the season to allow viewers-and the show's contestants-to process their feelings, and an Internet firestorm erupted. "If there's a chance that Colton is the Bachelor, I would hope that he is fully ready for that experience knowing that he wants to be engaged at the end of it".

Fans watched Underwood's embark on his journey to find love during Becca Kufrin's season of The Bachelorette.

Or they just wanted anyone but Colton.

Colton Underwood is the new Bachelor. Many have also protested showrunner Mike Fleiss's decision to not cast a person of color, noting that there has yet to be a black Bachelor.

Bookmaker pays out on Jose Mourinho being sacked as Manchester United manager
A furious Mourinho stormed out of his post-match press conference after taking exception to a journalist's line of questioning. Respect, respect", his voice could be heard echoing from the corridor.

But don't worry, there's always life after "The Bachelorette".

But fans were quick to take to social media to refute this claim, as the 26-year-old dated United States gymnast Aly Raisman between 2016 and 2017 and pictures of the pair with Colton's family appeared online.

Colton Underwood, who previously appeared on Becca Kufrin's cycle of "The Bachelorette" and most recently on "Bachelor in Paradise", is the next lucky man looking for love on the long-running reality series.

The 26-year-old was then eliminated from the show, clearly heartbroken by not being able to continue things with Becca.

When Booth was asked what she thought about Underwood being the next star of The Bachelor, Entertainment Tonight reported that she said, "I don't know that he's ready". Underwood added that he couldn't wait to see what the future holds for her and he joked about catching up again at some point over a hot dog dinner.

Colton is 26, and retired from the National Football League after an injury-plagued career.
