Clemson: 6 still hospitalized after party floor collapse

The party was reportedly in full swing with people dancing to the music when the first floor of the clubhouse at The Woodlands of Clemson fell directly into the building's basement level. Clemson associate vice president Joe Galbraith told news outlets Monday that six were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

More than 30 people were transported to three area hospitals, FOX Carolina reported.

"We're just thankful that it was not any worse than it was", he added.

"There could have been entrapments, there could have been deaths involved", he said.

The university said 29 of the 30 were Clemson students.

The group was celebrating Clemson's homecoming win against N.C. State. There were injuries. They were not life-threatening.

Tester said emergency responders were there in just minutes, and he saw people holding their arms or with bloody legs.

We'll see if the Red Sox have any more epic moments in store. "And I mean you're just hyper aware of it". There was an Major League Baseball investigation, but the resolution is unclear.

Distressing footage from the party shows the moment the floor, packed with dancers, disappears beneath them. The scene of joy and celebration quickly turned to chaos and screaming.

"I can tell you there was a party".

"All you seen (sic) was falling, everybody's hands up in the air", Franzie Pendergrass was quoted by the news outlet as saying. "I blacked out, and there [were] girls everywhere with blood all over their face".

Authorities said an investigation into the collapse will continue this week.

Thirty people were hurt after a floor collapsed during a house party early Sunday.

Clemson University officials said they were notified of the situation early Sunday.
