Kavanaugh accuser confesses she made up claims to 'get attention'

The 414-page report (pdf) on November 3 summarizes the investigative findings based on interviews with 45 people and a review of 25 written statements. "Among accusers who came forth during the hearings is 43-year-old Deborah Ramirez, who - according to The New Yorker - alleges that Kavanaugh [exposed himself to her] during a party".

The investigation found no evidence of wrongdoing on Kavanaugh's part.

Grassley asked for federal authorities to investigate her on allegations of making false statements and obstruction. She said she'd never met Kavanaugh, but was against his nomination. "But when individuals intentionally mislead the Committee, they divert Committee resources during time-sensitive investigations and materially impede our work".

In the letter sent to FBI Director Christopher Wray and Attorney General Jeff Sessions, Republican Sen.

"She further confessed to Committee investigators that (1) she "just wanted to get attention"; (2) "it was a tactic"; and (3) 'that was just a ploy, '" the Senate Judiciary Chairman informed in the letter.

"Such acts are not only unfair; they are potentially illegal", Grassley added.

The committee's ongoing investigation is looking to determine if Ford's allies pressured Leland Keyser to change her initial statement to the committee. Ford reportedly coached McLean on how to pass a polygraph exam, according to the report.

China denies spying on Trump’s iPhone, says he should switch to Huawei
China responded to a report that President Donald Trump's personal iPhone was tapped by its spies by suggesting that he switch to Huawei.

Just days before the midterm elections, Sen.

Before Ford's testimony, Conservative lawyer Ed Whelan suggested in a unusual series of tweets that a classmate of Kavanaugh's who looked like him may have assaulted her. President Donald Trump also subscribed to the theory.

Kavanaugh was confirmed on 6 October by a 50-48 Senate vote following the most acrimonious and divisive confirmation process in a generation.

At the rally, Trump also attacked Montana Democratic Sen. It's not clear at this time if these concerns had to do with the reporting of a specific threat - again, they say its just "an abundance of caution" - but it has been reported in the past the Kavanaugh and his family have received death threats. Because nobody has ever been treated more unfairly than Brett Kavanaugh.

One person interviewed who claimed to know Ford said she did drugs on occasion, but she did not specify what kind of drugs.

By contrast with the lack of evidence supporting the claims of misconduct against Kavanaugh, the memorandum singles out the claim of one accuser and her creepy porn lawyer: "Indeed, the evidence appears to support the position that Julie Swetnick and Mr. Avenatti criminally conspired to make materially false statements to the Committee and obstruct the Committee's investigation". But you know obviously I believe the accusations against him, but even if you didn't, if you saw him on television, refusing to let his wife talk. "Your senator, Tester ... what he did was bad".
